Privacy Policy for Locus (Shared Sudoku)

Last updated: April 16, 2026

Overview

Locus is a puzzle game. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.

Data Collection

Locus does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no server-side components.

Local Data

The app stores game statistics (such as best times, win streaks, and game history) locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.

Local Network Usage

When using multiplayer mode (Competitive or Cooperative), the app uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover and connect with nearby players over your local Wi-Fi network or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi. This communication is direct between devices — no data passes through any external server. The only information exchanged is game state data (puzzle data and moves) and your device name, which is used to identify players during a session.

Third-Party Services

Locus does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect any data from any user, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.
